Dear Friends of the Golden Rule Project:
We are wrapping up another terrific year of growth here at Golden Rule Project (GRP). We are grateful that you have been part of it in some way. We have listed some highlights below.
Thanks to all who connected with us at the Parliament of the World's Religions 2018 in Toronto last month. It was a fabulous event that touched the hearts of all who attended. You can read more about our experiences here, here, and here.
Thanks to everyone who added to the Kindness Chain at any point this year. Over the past 12 months, GRP supporters performed 655 acts of kindness. And a big shout out to the 154 people who shared with staff their stories of kindness and compassion.
Thanks, also, to the 35 schools in Utah who hosted our Golden Rule Magic Assembly. Through that assembly and our printed materials, GRP connected with 17,000 students this past year.
Golden Rule Day (April 5) this year was incredible! Global Partners helped us reach more than 83,000 viewers around the world with a 24-hour broadcast that celebrated the Golden Rule. GRP supported the training of 76 teachers in mindfulness in 2018 in the educational system of Utah.
With willing schools and helping hands, we produced three short videos focusing on kindness in schools. A link to the videos is here
The Law and Golden Rule Committee created a terrific poster with different versions of the Golden Rule that will soon be hanging in some courthouses and law offices in Utah in 2019. See it here
